Now don’t let this bother you too much, it can be quite easy to put a website together. Now-a-days you have website set-up that does not require you to know html, what you see is what you got. Most websites only use three pages, the first is the capture page. This is where you will be able to get peoples names and e-mail addresses. You will want this page to be nice and clean looking because this is where most people get their first impression of you. Naturally you want this to be a good impression so you will need to be professional but also down to earth. What I mean by this is that people like to buy from people, they want to know that there is a real live person behind the website. This way if there is some type of problem they have someone to tell.You may think that you need to have a lot of fancy graphics on this page but this can actually do more harm than good. One reason that this may not work for you is that a lot and I mean a lot of people are really put off by all the hype. Any more when people come across a website that has a lot of flashing lights and other hype they take for just that, nothing but hype and never give the site a chance. Another thing is that when people are surfing the internet they give you on the average of 10 seconds and if the page is slow to come up because it is loaded with graphics you don’t even have that long.You will also want to have a call to action on this page. This is where you let people know what they need to do as far as getting to what you wish for them to see Do not just stick to the bottom of the page with this call to action. You will want to place it in different areas of the page. A lot of people will not scroll to the bottom, people are in a hurry and if you have real long copy they may not make it to your call to action.
